Each M-50 series operator is a complete package with a heavy-duty ELECTRO-MAGNETIC clutch, operator stand, 57 feet of chain, 2 mounting brackets, factory tested and installed electrical circuitry, and EMDL (Electromagnetic Drive Lock). 3,5,7HP, job specific 3 PH 208/480. -MOTOR REDUCER: 3-7 HP Input 1800 RPM to 45 RPM. Single
right angle worm gear reducer rated at 7HP. Torque rating 3204-8900inch pounds with 40:1 ratio.
-BEARINGS: All bearings to have basic static load rating of 14070 lbs and a basic dynamic load rating of 14770 lbs. Seals to be rated at 8700 RPM.
-CHAIN DRIVE: Factory plated #80 roller chain rated at 17100lbs average tensile strength. Chain adjustment screws shall be 7/8” diameter with minimum of 6-1/4" threads. Chain mounting bracket shall be 3/4” x 2” x 10” steel bar drilled for adjustment screws.
-SPROCKETS: All are made of high carbon steel H80
-CLUTCH: To be self-contained over-center type easily adjusted. Rated at 6.7-8.6HP per 100 RPM with 3780-9901inch lbs of torque capacity.
-CONTROL CIRCUITRY: Factory installed, complete with thermal overload protection, reversing contactors with built-in mechanical and electrical interlock to prevent double closure. Heavy-duty silver-to-silver contacts rated at 5-7HP. Control transformer to be heavy duty with .250 KVA rating.
-OPERATOR: To be built on heavy-duty 1/2” structural steel frame. All shafting 2” throughout.
-HOUSING: 1/8” Aluminum. TIG welded
-STAND: 12” x 12” x 1/4” steel tube with 1/2” steel top and bottom plate.
-GATE SPEED: Standard- approximately 40 FPM.
-CUSTOM GATE SPEED: AVAILABLE, Job Specific.
-LIMIT SWITCH: OPTION 1: Rotating direct chain drive controlled by output shaft. Micro switch and cam action allowing closetolerance open and close adjustment. OPTION 2: Gate mounted cams with operator mounted switches (RECOMENEDED FOR VERY LONG GATES)
-DRIVE LOCK: Slide gate operators to be locked in position by means of an electromagnetic brake located on themain drive shaft. Locking brake has a static torque rating of 1784-2251inch lbs and is equipped with a positive release to eliminate friction drag during the drive mode. Epoxy resin bonding of the brake friction lining, coil, and terminals provide construction strength, electrical and environmental insulation and heat dissipation for longer service life. Failsafe design allows release in case of power failure. Maximum power consumption 36 watts.
-CLOSING UNIT: Industrial series panel mount automatic reset timer commonly used in applications requiring high repetitive accuracy, fast reset and heavy usage. It is equipped with 10AMP, single throw, double throw, isolated load contacts for gate control.
